Our Director – Anitesh Govind

Anitesh has over 14+ years’ experience of litigation experience, including in civil disputes and criminal matters. He is an experienced and highly effective lawyer, and has appeared in the Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court and Environment Court as lead Counsel in trials and appeals.

Work experience

Anitesh has worked at small and large law firms, local and central government agencies. During this time, he has worked on multi-million dollar civil claims and on several criminal matters. Having worked in both private and public organisations, Anitesh has the breadth of experience and understanding on what is needed to get the best outcome for you.

Affiliations

Anitesh is the current President of the New Zealand Law Society – Auckland Branch and he was the Vice-President of the In-house Lawyers Association of New Zealand (ILANZ) from 2020 to 2022. He was the also the host of the ILANZ Podcast, a space for in-house lawyers to discuss thought provoking topics such as wellbeing, innovation and development within the profession. Anitesh has also presents on webinars and seminars on a regular basis to lawyers.
